Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.
